Assessments- Create a criterion-referenced assessment for each objective.The planned assessments should accurately assess the behavior of outlined in the objectives and provide the conditions stated in the objectives. Goal 1: (Nicole) At the end of the Navigation portion of the session k-12 educators/participants will be given a detailed handout with tasks they must complete within 10 minutes.
Justification: At this point in the session the basics the iPad have been covered. This activity helps to quickly gauge if any aspects of the Intro/Navigation portion of the session need to be revisited before continuing on to the Searching portion of the session that will involve the k-12 educators/participants to not only navigate the iPad, but also the Apple Store to find and purchase Apps.
At the end of session k-12 educators/participants will be given 15 minutes to complete the following tasks:
turn on the iPad
locate the Apple Store on the iPad
search for an app in the Apple Store
purchase an app in the Apple Store
Justification: Through each portion (Intro, Navigation, Searching) of the first session one of the above assessments will the covered. The goal of the session is for the k-12 educators/participants to leave with the knowledge of the basics covered in the session. This is why it's necessary to not only test their knowledge directly after the information was taught, but to also require them to recall the information at the end of the session. This will help the instructors, as well as the k-12 educators/participants, to gauge the effectiveness of the session and determine if there is any need to revisit certain aspects of it.
